I am a Fijian with a deep love for my country of birth. I am greatly saddened by the the events since the 2006 Coup and dearly like to see a return to democracy in Fiji and the liberation of its people from the dictatorial clutches of the current and illegal regime led by Voreqe Bainimarama. Since university days in New Zealand, I have regularly commented on government policies in Fiji and its politics in papers there and currently online. Each day, I pray that Fiji and its people will once again have the government they deserve and of their choice.
Born on Yacata island in Fiji, I attended primary and secondary schools in Fiji before studying at universities in Fiji and New Zealand. I then worked first as a consultant, and later in government in New Zealand for over ten years. My last visit to my home island in Fiji was just before the 2006 Coup.
